Sheffield head coach Mark Aston has accused Castleford Tigers of breaking an agreement regarding a pre-season friendly.
The Eagles boss claims the Tigers have scrapped a proposed fixture between the two sides, which is believed to have been pencilled in as part of the deal that took winger Garry Lo to Castleford last year.
“I am going to be making [my disappointment] clear, and we are going to see if we can have a conversation regarding what we are going to do about it because everyone knew that there was an agreement in place for Sheffield to play, but it won’t happen now,” he told the Sheffield Star.
“They have changed their CEO, but that agreement doesn’t go away as well. They have closed shop on it, so we’ll have to see what happens.”
Aston’s son Cory is a Castleford Tigers player.
