Chase loves being back in the mix

Doncaster’s Rangi Chase has reflected on making a try-scoring return to the sport.

Chase started for the Dons in their defeat to Whitehaven at Featherstone’s LD Nutrition Stadium on Sunday.

The former England star has agreed terms with the League 1 side until the end of the season and was recently cleared to play following the completion of his drugs ban.

He said: “Personally it was great for me to be back out there, I’ve had a really good week and it was nice to be back out there doing what I love.

“It’s been a bit surreal and I’m glad I’ve got this opportunity, I made a bad mistake which I paid the price for but I think I can be proud of the way I’ve conducted myself after that.

“Training is good but there is nothing like a game, I was tired throughout but I loved being back in the mix.”
