A former Super League referee has responded to comments made by new Hull KR boss Tony Smith following his side’s loss to Wigan.
Smith was quoted as being unhappy with a decision to rule out a try for Rovers’ Chris Atkin.
And former top level referee Richard Silverwood, who officiated several showpiece finals before stepping down in 2017, was quick to react.
He said: “Shock horror. Tony Smith only back a week and blaming referees.
“I had ten years of his whinging. Bloke is a weirdo.”
