Featherstone have delivered an update regarding their plans to develop the land around their stadium.
The statement advises that club have officials have held discussions with “relevant parties” and that plans were submitted to Wakefield Council last week.
They are awaiting a decision on the release of land from the greenbelt that would allow it to be developed.
CEO Davide Longo added: “The club is working tirelessly on plans to ensure the scheme is viable and deliverable within the desired timescales.
“This was the first stage that required completion before we can even think about developments and planning applications.
“We are confident that our proposals meet with policy legislation set out in the local plan and we will continue to work closely with Wakefield Council on this scheme.”
