Carl Forster has set his sights on helping Whitehaven earn promotion to the Championship, after returning to the club following his departure from Rochdale.
Former ‘Haven player-coach Forster left the club to take up a similar position with the Hornets at the end of last season.
But he recently parted company with the Championship side and has quickly secure a return to the Recreation Ground, in a playing capacity, under head coach Gary Charlton.
In a statement, the club confirmed that Forster has signed a deal until the end of the season and that they have “beaten several other clubs in securing his signature”.
‘Haven head coach Gary Charlton said: “He will bring size and experience to the team and he’s just the sort of player we have been looking for to complement our other front rowers.
“Carl is well thought of up here and will fit in without any problems.”
Forster said: “I’m really looking forward to pulling the ‘Haven shirt on again and getting back in front of the fans at the Recre’.
“I just want to get back to enjoying my rugby and hopefully help the team achieve promotion.”
