Hemel coach takes over at Wakefield Ladies

Wakefield have appointed Hemel Stags coach Ken Kerr as the new coach of the club’s Ladies side.

Kerr replaces Wayne Hirst, who parted company with the club following the 100-0 defeat to Castleford in the recent Challenge Cup semi-final.

Hailing from Australia, Kerr has playing and coaching experience in both hemispheres.

He said: “I’m really excited to get started here at Wakefield.

“I’ve had an enjoyable time at Hemel Stags recently but I’m looking forward to a fresh challenge.

“I take my first session this week and I’m looking forward to getting to know all the ladies.”
