Bradford Bulls forward Ross Peltier never thought he would play in a Bradford-Leeds derby but described his side’s 24-22 win over the Rhinos in the Coral Challenge Cup as ‘what dreams are made of.’
Peltier was one of nine Bradford born players to take to the field last weekend to face Leeds, playing his part in a historic day for the club in their first meeting with the Rhinos since 2014 and hailed his teammates for achieving something so special.
“I never thought I’d play in a Bradford-Leeds derby and win at Odsal so like many of the lads I will never forget this moment,” he told the club website.
“Everyone was buzzing after the game and there are a lot of Bradford lads and Academy lads – they did everyone proud and it is an amazing achievement.
“We are building something special here – we knew if we showed up with the right attitude and worked hard for each other we would get the result.”
