Kiwi captain granted release from club

NRL club Penrith Panthers have confirmed that one of their star outside backs has been granted an immediate release from the club.

New Zealand skipper Dallin Watene-Zelezniak will leave the Panthers with immediate effect to explore other options by mutual consent.

The 23 year old outside back debuted at the top level for the Panthers and has made over 100 appearances for the club, but has been linked with a release for a while amid poor individual and team form, with rumours stating he was unhappy at Penrith.

Wests Tigers are reportedly keen on bringing in the talented winger, although a deal is yet to be announced.
