No Super League fixture for Child following bad-tempered clash in Perpignan

Referee James Child has not been allocated a Super League fixture in this weekend’s round of matches.

Child took charge of the match between Catalans and Warrington on Saturday that saw two red cards and four yellow cards shown, and seven players issued with sanctions after the game, as tempers boiled over.

This week, he will drop down to the Championship to officiate the clash between Widnes and Toulouse.

Child will also serve as a touch judge for Friday’s match between Wigan and Hull KR.
