NRL CEO Todd Greenberg has hailed the competition’s inaugural Magic Round as “a spectacular success”.
This year saw the NRL replicate Super League’s Magic Weekend with a four-day event in Brisbane that featured every team in action.
A report published on NRL.com claims that total crowds of 134,677 were recorded across the four days of the round, an average of 33,669.
Approximately one quarter of all ticketholders came from interstate, while fans from ten different countries outside Australia and New Zealand were also recorded as being in attendance.
Greenberg said: “Thanks to everyone who attended and supported the Magic Round in Brisbane.
“A spectacular success in our first year and we hope you enjoyed the experience. Back again in 2020!”
