Robins to welcome back five key stars ahead of crucial Wakefield clash

Hull KR head coach Tony Smith has indicated that he will have five more key stars to call upon this week as the Robins welcome Wakefield on Sunday in a crucial relegation battle.

Both sides are coming off a loss, with both level on points just one win above bottom placed London with four rounds remaining.

Rovers went down in a battling defeat to Wigan without a host of key names, with Smith now confident that Danny McGuire, Mitch Garbutt, Craig Hall, George Lawler and Kane Linnett will all be fit to feature.

“Linnett isn’t a definite but he’s pretty confident. That makes five extra bodies to choose from,” he said.

“Mitch has made progress. Giving him a couple of weeks to work on his knee has been beneficial.

“Danny could have played last week at a pinch but it’s tough for him to train and do the short turnarounds nowadays.”
