Studd calls for end of ‘nudey runs’

Sky Sports commentator Rod Studd has called on Rugby League to do away with the tradition of end-of-season ‘nudey runs’.

Traditionally, players who fail to score a try over the course of the season are coaxed into stripping off and completing a lap of the playing field.

But Studd believes the practice has no place in the modern game.

“Can anyone name any other businesses which force employees to run naked round the workplace in front of other employees if they fail to meet work-related targets?” he said.

“I’m struggling think of any?”
