In a recent interview with NRL.com, South Sydney and England star George Burgess gave some cryptic messages about his playing future, with continued rumours linking him with a move away from the club.
Recent reports have revealed Super League clubs have been in contact with the hulking front rower’s management, who is out of contract at the end of the year and is yet to re-sign at Redfern.
Despite admitting he would like to stay at Souths and in the NRL, Burgess refused to rule out a possible return to the Super League.
“I’m just focusing on playing well and hopefully it (my future) takes care of itself,” he said.
“All good things come to an end, obviously I’d like to keep playing with my brothers but we don’t life in a perfect life.”
“Anything is possible but ideally I’d like to stay in the NRL, if we can sort something out it would be good,” he added when asked about a possible move to the Super League.
