Another Hull forward announces retirement

At the annual Hull FC Player of the Year awards held last night, a third of the club’s experienced forwards announced his retirement at the end of the season.

After Mark Minichiello and Sika Manu both announced that 2019 will be their last on the field, out of contract prop Mickey Paea has decided to call time on his career at the age of 33.

The former Newcastle Knights man is in his second spell with the Black and Whites having previously played for dear city rivals Hull KR, but Hull Daily Mail’s William Jackson, who was at the awards night yesterday, revealed Paea’s decision to retire on social media.
