Wakefield boss Chris Chester was highly critical of a decision that led to a try for Wigan in their defeat to Wigan today.
Winger Liam Marshall took a quick tap that appeared to be some distance from the centre of the field.
Marshall raced the full 80 metres to score a crucial try and Chester believes referee Scott Mikalauskas and his assistants should have called play back.
Chester told reporters after the game: “I can cop a player being a metre off, but not when you’re talking six or seven metres.
“You’ve a bloke behind the posts – I don’t know what his job is – and a referee on the spot there.
“It’s a disgraceful call and they’re calls you shouldn’t get wrong.”
