Speaking during an appearance on Rugby League Backchat, Eorl Crabtree confirmed that his contract as part of Hudderfield’s commercial and marketing team is dependent on the club playing at the top level.

“My contract itself is Super League status, so instantly we’re all thinking and we’re all worrying about our jobs.

“Don’t get me wrong, I believe in the system and I do think it should be one up, one down.

“That is the beauty of the sport, even if it all gets us a bit worried.

“It will be a bad thing for one team, and that could be my team, but that’s how the sport should be played.”
