Wigan coach Adrian Lam says Sean O’Loughlin is “not good” after he suffered an eye injury in last night’s win against Toronto.

The Warriors captain was caught by Toronto’s Hakim Miloudi in the closing stages of the clash.

Miloudi protested that the contact was accidental but was dispatched to the sin-bin by referee Chris Kendall, while O’Loughlin was also forced to leave the field before being taken to hospital.

Lam said: “He’s not good. It doesn’t look good, his eye, and he’s gone to hospital.

“He’s walking but he can’t see out of it, so it’s a concern.”

Wolfpack coach Brian McDermott believes the contact was accidental and is hopeful that Miloudi will face no further action.

He said: “I thought it was a harsh yellow card. He was defending his try-line and poked him in the eye, but it was a fingernail.

“Hopefully nothing will come of it.”
