St Helens fullback Lachlan Coote says he would definitely be interested in representing the Great Britain Lions in the end of season tour of the Southern Hemisphere.
Born and raised in Australia, Coote is eligible via his Scottish heritage and represented the Bravehearts in the 2016 Four Nations.
Having exploded into life in Super League, proving to be one of Saints best so far this year, talk has started about the Australian’s potential inclusion in Wayne Bennett’s squad as a Scottish representative at the end of the year, something the 28 year old would definitely consider.
“I definitely would be (interested),” he admitted.
“I wasn’t even sure if I was eligible until someone tossed it up the other week. It would be an awesome trip to go on.”
“I haven’t heard anything yet but I am sure it might come out in the next few months or so (any squad updates).”
