Huddersfield have failed in an attempt to recall Scott Grix from his loan spell with Halifax.
Grix made the switch to The Shay earlier this summer to play under his brother Simon.
The Halifax boss confirmed the Giants were keen on having him back for the run-in, but were stifled due to registration restrictions.
Simon explained:”They wanted to recall him, but he didn’t go back.
“They thought because they are his parent club they could terminate his loan, but that’s not how it works and the deadline has passed.
“He didn’t train Tuesday or Friday, because of the confusion, so he didn’t play today, but he’ll be available for us next week.”
