Huddersfield Giants coach Simon Woolford said his side have addressed the issues from last week’s embarrassing 44-0 home defeat to Leeds and are ready to bounce back against an in form Salford side.

Woolford was confident the necessary players had held themselves accountable for the appalling performance and was certain the side picked this week would give it their all to get a result as they look to stave off relegation.

“We got in on Monday and went over everything and a lot of guys put their hands up and recognised that effort wasn’t acceptable,” Woolford said.

“We’re playing for our lives at the minute, our actions have to show that, and they didn’t last week, which was disappointing.

“We’ve had to put that behind us, we’ve trained really well and there’ll be no excuses. We feel we’ve picked a team that’ll go there and do the job.”
