Greece have booked their place in the 2021 Rugby League World Cup after a resounding win over Serbia.

It’s the first time Greece have qualified for the final stages of any rugby league world cup after thrashing Serbia 82-6 in Belgrade, in which they scored 16 tries.

“We hope it’s the step forward needed and everyone back home will be proud of us,” head coach Steve Georgallis told the BBC.

The final world cup berth is up for grabs on 16th November when the Cook Islands take on the USA in Jacksonville.
