Despite being due to attend a meeting with representatives from the other 11 Super League clubs to discuss the controversial signing of Israel Folau, Sky Sports are reporting that Catalans Dragons chairman Bernard Guasch didn’t turn up.

Sky’s report reads: “Guasch instead remained in France to attend to a business issue even though other clubs specifically requested his presence.”

The signing of the former Wallabies star has sparked anger from all corners of the sport following his well publicised sacking from Australian rugby union following homophobic comments posted on his social media last year.
