Salford Red Devils half back Jackson Hastings has taken to Twitter to update fans on an eye injury he sustained in his side’s narrow loss to Wigan which left him with problems with his vision.
Hastings suffered the injury in a run with Wigan enforcer Tony Clubb where the front rower allegedly made contact with his hand across the face of the Australian half back, who left the DW Stadium with his eye bandaged and is struggling with blurred vision ahead of the Red Devil’s do or die clash With Castleford next week.
Salford have called for action to be taken against Clubb for a separate incident where he dived in on Hastings as he scored a try in the second half, making more contact with his head.
Appreciate the messages regarding the eye. Visions not great, Just seen the specialist and we are gonna work together to make sure I take the field Thursday night. Thanks for all concerned! 🤓
