Recently retired Gareth Hock has set his sights on a coaching role in the game.
Hock announced his decision to hang up the boots last week, but says he is eager to remain in Rugby League.
He told the Wigan Observer’s Phil Wilkinson: “I’ve applied to do my level two coaching.
“I’ve been thinking about it for quite a while, I think I’d do well, especially working with the forwards and giving them a bit of aggression and getting them fired up.
“I know it takes time and you have to gain experience but I think I’d have the respect of the players, and I think I’ve a lot to offer.”
