Former St Helens head coach Justin Holbrook said his team need to work harder as a group and stop making so many basic errors if they are to be successful in the 2020 NRL season after watching his side collapse in the second half against Parramatta.

Holbrook is in his first season in charge of last season’s wooden spooners and saw a 14-6 half time deficit blow out to a 46-6 thrashing, with his side conceding five unanswered tries late on to suffer back to back losses to start the campaign.

Speaking to NRL.com after the game, Holbrook admitted: “It’s individual concentration on what their job is and sticking to that.

“That’s what we need to look at as an individual and then collectively as a team.

“We have to look at ourselves as a group and be ready to go hopefully next week.”
