Hooker heading out of Salford

Salford coach Ian Watson has confirmed that one of his key players will leave the club at the end of the season.

Hooker Logan Tomkins will depart the AJ Bell Stadium after Watson confirmed the club can’t afford to keep him.

He told reporters after their win against Hull KR on Friday: “We are losing Logan for next year and that is due purely to financial reasons.

“We can’t afford to keep Logan and it is a shame because Logan has been outstanding in the last eight weeks and he has been the ultimate professional in the time he has been here.
