Rochdale have confirmed they are in talks with the town’s football club regarding a suitable compensation agreement.
The discussions relate to recently cancelled home matches for the Hornets, including a recent game against Swinton being moved to local amateur club Mayfield, due to ongoing maintenance at the ground.
The club returns to the Crown Oil Arena this weekend, when they face Toulouse.
A statement from the club’s board reads: “Talks are ongoing with Rochdale AFC aiming to arrive at a suitable compensation agreement for recent cancellations.
“Now we look forward to returning to the Crown Oil Arena to face Toulouse this Saturday, kick-off 3pm, and hope for a strong vocal crowd to get behind the team.”
Hornets were also forced to postpone a match due to safety concerns related to the erection of rugby posts earlier this year.
