Hull boss at a loss of how to control Connor

After watching one of his star players Jake Connor sin binned for dissent again in last night’s defeat to Castleford, Hull FC coach Lee Radford admitted his messages to control him haven’t got through.

The England international has developed a reputation for winding up players on the field, but has come under scrutiny this year for a seeming lack of discipline with officials and was given a yellow card by referee Ben Thaler for back chatting one too many times and was even seen arguing with his own teammates on his way off the field during the Black and Whites’ heavy 44-12 defeat.

Speaking to Hull Daily Mail’s William Jackson after the game, Radford Admitted he wasn’t sure how to change the behaviour of one of his most talented players.

“We’ve maybe not told him enough,” he said.

“It’s ugly to see. Apart from tape his mouth up I don’t know (what can be done).”
