Hull FC have made an addition to their squad for 2020 in the shape of Widnes hooker Jordan Johnstone.
20-year-old Johnstone links up with the Black and Whites on a three-year deal from the start of next season.
He said: “I’m buzzing to be heading to Hull and become part of this club. I’m grateful for the opportunity to come to a massive club like this, and I just can’t wait to get started in pre-season.
“I’ve played in Super League before with Widnes and spent a full season with them in the Championship too , which personally I believe has put me in a strong position to make the step back up next year with plenty of game time under my belt.”
Johnstone added that the opportunity to play alongside Danny Houghton was another key factor.
“It’s one of the main reasons I’ve decided to join Hull. I spoke to Lee Radford about how excited I am to come over and learn from Danny and train together.
“You can see from the way he plays how much representing this club means to him, and he has helped set that positive culture here.
“I’m definitely here to buy into that and it will help take my game to the next level.”
