Hull FC owner Adam Pearson admitted the players have a lot of making up to do to their loyal support base after a frustrating season marred by horrendous home form.
The Black and Whites have won just five games out of 13 at the KCOM Stadium all season, with their lack of ability to win on their own patch contributing to them looking likely to miss out on the top five all together, and is something that Pearson is keen to rectify for the fans next season.
“The link, the trust and relationship between the team and the crowd needs to be rebuilt. They have lost faith in us at home and I can quite understand why, he told Hull Daily Mail.
“We have only lost outside of Hull three times this year, St Helens, Magic Weekend and Castleford, so something has to be done at home.
“Our home form, obviously something has gone really wrong,
“We will be working hard to get out to local clubs and in the community and trying to start again and rebuild that trust. Playing at home must become a pleasurable experience again for everybody.”
