Catalans have completed the signing of Joel Tomkins on a two-year contract.
The former Wigan centre or back-row left Hull KR at the end of 2019 for compassionate reasons.
He will continue his career with the Dragons in Perpignan, where he will be reunited with brother Sam, who he played alongside at the Warriors.
Tomkins said: “Since playing against the Dragons in their first ever Super League game in 2006, I have always admired the club’s ambition to grow and achieve success.
“Being given the opportunity to be a part of the Catalans Dragons is a great honour for me and I am determined to do what I can to help the club to achieve success in the coming years.”
Catalans coach Steve McNamara said: “Joel is an experienced, hardened competitor who plays and trains to win.
“He will add great value to all within our organisation and I personally look forward to working with him again after previously coaching him for England.”
