The impressive form of young St Helens forward Morgan Knowles has impressed a former Great Britain and Saints legend, prompting him to tip the Cumbrian for a Great Britain call up at the end of the season.
Paul Sculthorpe, a former captain of the club and a 26 time Great Britain player was full of praise of Knowles, who currently plays internationally for Wales, and was confident he would force his way into Wayne Bennett’s plans for the end of season tour of the Southern Hemisphere.
“Morgan is the Wales captain and for me he is the best loose forward in the UK at the moment,” Sculthorpe said.
“Going off form and what he has done in a St Helens shirt, not just this year but last season too, Morgan will be involved and will make a real claim for a starting berth in Wayne’s side. I’ve been really impressed with him.”
