Wigan Warriors coach Adrian Lam conceded one of his most impressive stars from 2019 will probably not play again this season after suffering a knee injury two weeks ago.
Joe Bullock has been one of the real success stories for the Cherry and Whites this year, becoming one of Wigan’s key forwards since signing for the club from Championship side Barrow.
However, a knee ligament injury sustained in the club’s recent loss to St Helens has seen the prop undergo surgery, with games running out for him to return.
“He’s had an operation to pin the ligament down, it’s week to week but we’ve not long left of the season and I imagine it’d be hard to come back in that period,” Lam said.
“He’ll be good for the start of pre-season.”
