Wigan Warriors head coach Adrian Lam said he would welcome a star performance from Morgan Escare against his side as the French international faces his parent club in Wakefield colours this weekend.

Escare joined Trinity on loan until the end of the season earlier this month and is able to play against the Warriors, who head to the Mobile Rocket Stadium on Sunday aiming to nail down their place in the play-offs.

“I hope he has a good game against us because that’s the purpose of this loan spell,” he told Wigan Today’s Phil Wilkinson.

“He’s still contracted to us for next year so we need him to be playing well. But we know him well and I’m sure we can control his ability to turn a game.”
