Leeds Rhinos forward Adam Cuthbertson has labelled his side’s trip to London as a must win as they look to secure their Super League status for 2020.
The Rhinos had been in good form, with two big wins in a row before they were comfortably beaten by St Helens last time out followed by London’s second win in Catalans which pulled Leeds back into the relegation dog fight, with just two points separating the clubs.
A win in Ealing would essentially secure Leeds’ safety, with their superior points difference too much for London to overturn, and Cuthbertson admitted everything was still on the line.
“I’ve been wanting to say it’s not a big game for the last three or four weeks,” he told Yorkshire Evening Post.
“It is just how the season is going at the minute, not just for us, but for a number of teams down at the bottom end of the table.
“But it is all about us this weekend and going out and getting a win at all costs.
“It is going to be a big challenge this weekend, especially in the scheme of things, but we are up for it.”
