London have announced the capture of one of their former players from the start of next season.
Winger Tuoyo Egodo will return to the capital on a two-year deal following a recent spell with Castleford, after having started his career with the Broncos’ academy.
Egodo said: “I’m really excited to get back to London and join the Broncos again. It’s an opportunity to be close to family and friends and something I just couldn’t pass up on.
“I’d like to say thanks to the coaches, players & staff at Castleford who I have learnt a lot from and have helped me become the player I am today.
“I would also like to say a big thank you to the Castleford fans for their continuous support over the years.
“I look forward to wearing the Broncos jersey again and getting started for the 2020 season.”
Coach Danny Ward said: “We are pleased Tuoyo has joined us back at the Broncos from next season.
“He is a player who came through our junior system, have all worked with before and so know what he can bring to the group.
“It has been good for him to move away, get out of his comfort zone, work with different coaches and mature as a player and a person.
“Although he’s not done himself any favours scoring loads of tries against us in the last month, we won’t hold that against him and look forward to help continue his development.”
Chairman David Hughes said: “Tuoyo is a prime example of why it is a positive step that the reserve grade is coming back into our sport on a mandatory basis.
“He was released by the club back in 2016, and to his credit, he has gone away and improved immensely in to the quality player that he is now via loan spells at several clubs and his time at Castleford Tigers.
“He has shown how to fight your way into a top Super League team and we hope that he continues to fight for his home city when he pulls the London shirt back on next season.”
