London Broncos have announced the signing of an Australian half back from the NRL until the end of the current season.
Former Newcastle Knights and current Sydney Roosters play maker Brock Lamb has penned a deal in the capital and will join the Broncos immediately to bolster their chances of avoiding relegation.
The 22 year old has over 30 NRL games to his name and is regarded as one of the brightest young talents in the game and will act as ideal cover for Morgan Smith, whose season was ended prematurely by injury.
“We are excited to have Brock on board for the remainder of the season. With losing Morgan to injury and Jimmy Meadows picking up a decent ban, it left us a little short in this area and we needed to strengthen,” London coach Danny Ward said.
“Brock is a quality young half back who we hope will give the squad a boost going into the final phase of the season. He came with some decent raps from our people in Oz and is a former teammate of Yatesy (Luke Yates), so I am sure he will fit right in.”
