Long-serving winger leaves Dewsbury for Batley

Dewsbury’s longest serving player has left the club to sign for local rivals Batley.

Winger Dale Morton has agreed terms to join the Bulldogs in 2020, after having spent the last seven seasons at The Tetley’s Stadium.

He joins Lucas Walshaw in making the switch from Dewsbury to Batley, while Bulldogs’ Sam Smeaton remains strongly linked with a move to the Rams.

Morton has agreed a one-year deal with the Bulldogs, who have also handed a new deal to hooker Ady Leek.
