Wigan’s Liam Marshall says the team is relishing the intense nature of the club’s pre-season so far.
The winger notes that Tuesdays are often the toughest days, but he insists that the “beastings” are welcome and will pay dividends as the season progresses.
Marshall said: “Tuesdays for us are the toughest day of the week if you ask any of the lads. Wrestle is always the toughest session.
“Where you see those advantages going into the back end of the playing year is from how hard you working during the pre-season.
“It’s a tough day, but everybody always has a smile on their face when we finish.
“It’s tough, and the beastings have started, but we need a bit more of that and I don’t think there was enough of it last year.”
