Hull FC forward Mark Minichiello briefly gave his thoughts on star teammate Jake Connor after the pair appeared to exchange words on the pitch after the England international was sin binned for dissent on Thursday.
Connor was given a yellow card with three minutes to go by referee Ben Thaler to cap off an unhappy night for the Black and Whites who fell to a 44-12 defeat to Castleford and now look unlikely to make the top five, with a tough match against St Helens next week.
The 37 year old, who will retire at the end of the season, was reluctant to comment too much, but offered the talented Connor some advice moving forward.
“He’s got to be more consistent, I don’t really want to say too much,” he told Hull Daily Mail’s William Jackson.
“He’s a very talented kid but there’s lots of areas that he can work on to be a better player.”
