After over two months of contract speculation and rumours about his future, NSW and Australia representative star Latrell Mitchell has confirmed he has left Sydney Roosters.
The 22 year old outside back has been at the heart of a media frenzy since the Roosters pulled his contract offer for the end of the 2020 season after he decided to test his worth on the open market.
Where he will play this year is still uncertain, but it will not be for the tricolours as Mitchell took to Instagram to confirm the news today to say his time at a club he has won back to back premierships with is over.
Reports have since emerged in the Sydney Morning Herald that the superstar has agreed to terms with close rivals South Sydney, who recently just announced the capture of Queensland forward Jai Arrow for the 2021 campaign, but there has been no official statement from the Rabbitohs.

Firstly I want to thank @sydneyroosters for everything they have done for me an my family. I can not describe the way I feel right now but just wanted to let everyone know involved in my career through my stint here, I am so very grateful for you all. To the fans, thanks you ! Wouldn’t be a game without you. Humbled to be able to play with such a rich history club didn’t think as a Country boy I’d be able to transition to the city but roosters made that possible. To the boys !! I love yas. Playing along side of you all was something I’ll hold close to my heart. Nothing has been made official as of yet. But my stay at the roosters has come to an end. On to the next chapter where ever that may be. ❤️💛🖤
