No concerns over 4G surface for Holbrook

St Helens coach Justin Holbrook was expecting a fast track when his side travel to London this weekend to take on the Broncos, but had no concerns over picking up injuries on the 4G pitch.

Concerns have been raised in the past over the harsh nature of the surface both in the capital and at Widnes, but the Australian had no reason to believe that more injuries occur on such surfaces, but admitted they were in for a fast paced encounter.

“The docs told us that it is not proven that there are anymore injuries on 4G than there are on grass,” he said.

“Knowing the game is going to be at a faster pace, we will check in with the medical staff who does miss out on Sunday’s game.”
