’s chief reporter Michael Chammas is reporting that the Gold Coast Titans are currently weighing up a move for current St Helens boss Justin Holbrook to take over next year.

With rumours continuing to link current Titans coach Garth Brennan with an imminent exit from the club, Chammas indicated on the weekly ‘Inside the NRL’ show that his replacement would likely be a two horse race between current Queensland coach Kevin Walters and Holbrook, who is out of contract at the end of 2019.

“There’s a lot of talk about Justin Holbrook coming back from the UK, he’s an option,” he said.

“I think after the Origin series we’ll find out that Garth Brennan (current Titans coach) is probably not going to have a job at the club for much longer.”

“There’s been a few names in the mix but I think it’ll come down to Kevin Walters and Justin Holbrook, I really think he’s one they’re keeping an eye on.”

“The have huge raps on him and he’s off contract at St Helens and hasn’t extended his time there yet,” he added.
