Oldham name new coach

Matt Diskin has been named the new head coach of Oldham.

Diskin replaces Scott Naylor, who departed the role following the Roughyeds’ play-off final win to earn promotion on Sunday.

The former Leeds and Bradford hooker parted company with Batley last month following three years in the role.

Diskin, who has agreed a two-year deal, will be tasked with leading Oldham to survival in the Championship.
