Origin Team News: Panicked Blues ring the changes whilst Maroons stick strong

The line ups for State of Origin II have been announced, with NSW coach Brad Fittler making a huge seven changes to the side that lost game one, with Queensland’s Kevin Walters making minimal alterations.

Cronulla’s Josh Morris, Souths Sydney’s Cody Walker and Sydney Roosters’ duo Latrell Mitchell and Angus Crichton have all been left out of a vastly different looking side, whilst David Klemmer, Nick Cotric and Payne Haas all miss out through injury.

Returning to the Origin fold are Parramatta star Blake Ferguson, St George’s Tariq Sims and Penrith’s James Maloney, alongside Cronulla’s Wade Graham, after only two games back from an ACL injury, and Manly’s Tom Trbojevic.

There are two debutants in Blue in the form of Newcastle prop Daniel Saifiti and Melbourne’s Dane Finucane.

Meanwhile, Queensland have kept the side largely the same, with only injuries to forwards Jai Arrow and Joe Ofahengaue forcing Walters’ hand.

Gold Coast Titans’ Jarrod Wallace and Newcastle’s Tim Glasby are recalled onto the bench, after only narrowly missing out in game one.
