RFL chief executive Ralph Rimmer has revealed that a decision on the prospective admission of Ottawa and New York into the league pyramid is expected this week.

Rimmer was in conversation with broadcaster Mick Gledhill for the OurLeague app and told viewers that the governing body is likely to announce its ruling regarding the new clubs’ place in next year’s league hierarchy in the coming days.

Both clubs have submitted bids, with Ottawa having purchased Hemel Stags’ licence and New York being proposed as a totally new club.
