Warrington forward Joe Philbin is fired up for tomorrow’s round one clash with Wigan – insisting he’s ready to rip the back off anyone in front of him.
The Wolves and Warriors meet at the DW Stadium in front of the Sky cameras and break-out prop Philbin says he’s more than ready.
He said: “When you’ve completed your pre-season you’re ready to absolutely rip the back off anyone who comes in front of you.
“You’ve done all your running and all the hard days in the gym and the reason we do that is for the tough games against the big teams.
“We won’t need any more motivation. We’re looking forward to it.”
Warrington face defending champions St Helens in round two, but Philbin says he is relishing Wire’s tough start to 2020.
“I think Wigan and Saints are the best games and it’s great to start with them.
“They’re two big, loud games and it’ll be good to get the adrenaline going early on.
“Hopefully there will be two sell-outs and can only be good for us.”
