Steve Price paid tribute to his opposite number Lee Radford after he was sacked immediately following Warrington’s 38-4 thrashing of Hull FC.

Hull owner Adam Pearson announced Radford’s immediate departure live on Sky Sports following the defeat and Price had nothing but good things to say about the two time Challenge Cup winning coach.

“You don’t like to see that happen,” he told reporters after the game.

“I’ve got a lot of respect for Lee as a rugby league coach. He’s been great for Super League and to win two Challenge Cups at Hull; you don’t like to see that on anyone and I really feel for him.”
