Oldham chairman Chris Hamilton says promotion to the Championship will have a significant impact on the club.
The Roughyeds secured elevation to the second tier with victory over Newcastle in the play-off final on Saturday.
Hamilton said: “To be playing the likes of Toulouse, Featherstone, Leigh and many more of that calibre will make a huge difference.
“It will require a lot of hard work that’s already started but for tonight and for the next few days it will be all about celebrating what we’ve achieved this season.”
The Roughyeds played home matches at the Whitebank Stadium this season, though it is unclear where games will be staged next year.
Matches were played at the home of Stalybridge Celtic last time they were in the Championship.
