League Express reporter Aaron Bower is reporting that Leeds Rhinos are close to completing the signing of one of Salford’s half backs with immediate effect after launching a huge bid to the Red Devils.

Having been previously linked with the highly sought after Jackson Hastings, it now appears the 11th place Rhinos have made a big play for his out of contract halves partner Robert Lui.

Leeds are in need of a creative half back in order to save their season and are willing to pay a transfer fee for the former North Queensland Cowboy, with talks thought to be at the point where they are confident of securing his move to Headingley with immediate effect.
